Renewal by Andersen of CNY is Hiring a Sales Manager Near Syracuse, NY

The Sales Manager role at Renewal by Andersen of CNY will be responsible for driving the performance and productivity of a high-energy, all-commission sales team. Your primary goal is to lead by example, motivate, and ensure your team meets and exceeds sales targets. You will develop strategic sales plans, coach team members, and analyze performance metrics to maximize revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities: 

Team Development: Assist in conducting approximately 3-4, four (4) week training programs successfully per year to develop and cultivate the skills of new team members through effective coaching, training, and feedback mechanisms. Focus on enhancing the competency of new Design Consultants to prepare them for future roles within the organization.

· Shared responsibility with Sales Field Manager to assign newly trained Design Consultants to a team after 90-day introductory period.

· Communicate daily with Director of Sales and/or liaison with updates on Design Consultant progressions and challenges or other related information to assist in the Sales Teams’ success.

· Assist in the new hire ride-along program and actively participate in new hire training to support the Director of Sales in onboarding and integrating new team members.

Performance Improvement: Collaborate with Design Consultants to improve self-generated business habits, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in sales practices.

Reporting and Updates: Provide weekly updates to the Director of Sales through the Field Leaders meeting, offering insights into individual and group progress. Share coaching plans, daily call recaps, and contribute to showroom training when necessary.

Field Support: Conduct 'ride-along' sessions with each team member on their assigned appointments monthly, submitting detailed feedback through designated channels. Additionally, arrange for each team member to ‘ride-along’ on one of their Sales Field Manager’s assigned appointments.

Training and Workshops: Lead or present in monthly Wednesday workshops, contributing valuable insights and knowledge to enhance the team's skills and performance.

Regular Meetings: Conduct bi-weekly one-on-one meetings with assigned team members to address individual concerns, provide guidance, and monitor progress.

Sales Meetings: Actively participate in weekly sales meetings, contributing to discussions and strategies for overall sales success.

Monitor Team Development: Utilize BambooHR or another designated tool to track and monitor coaching conversations, disciplinary actions and updates, ensuring effective communication and information flow within the team.

Product Knowledge: Become an expert on Renewal by Andersen® products, understanding their features, benefits, and unique selling points. Be prepared to showcase features, benefits, and unique selling points to potential customers.

Sales Process Management: Navigate the sales process efficiently. Ensuring a seamless customer experience through timely follow-ups and proactive engagement.

Customer Relationship: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, demonstrating a commitment to quality and service. Establish trust and credibility, becoming a reliable point of contact throughout the sales process.

Target Achievement: Demonstrate a drive and commitment for top results by consistently meeting and exceeding Team sales targets. Strive for excellence in meeting key performance indicators and sales goals.

Market Insight: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and market dynamics. Leverage this knowledge to position Renewal by Andersen® product as a preferred choice.

Collaboration: Work collaboratively with internal teams, including marketing, customer service, and product development, to ensure a cohesive and customer-centric approach.

Accuracy and Compliance: Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all sales-related paperwork and documentation, including sales orders, contracts, and customer records. Maintain meticulous attention to detail to facilitate seamless order processing, timely deliveries, and compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.

Pricing Compliance: Maintain a steadfast commitment to authorized pricing practices and discount approvals to cultivate trust with customers and preserve the integrity of the sales process.

Recruitment: Assist in identifying and recruiting top sales talent to build and expand the sales team.

Share responsibilities for Manager on duty calls for Design Consultants out in the field.

Other duties and responsibilities as determined by the needs of the business and the Director of Sales.

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven 3 years experience in a sales role, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets, preferably in the home improvement or construction industry.
  • Capability to navigate various applications on an iPad.
  • Knowledge of window and door replacement products is a plus.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to travel and reliable transportation.
  • Analytical Skills: The ability to analyze sales data, market trends, and customer demographics to make informed decisions and strategize effectively.
  • Leadership and Coaching Skills: The capacity to lead, mentor, and develop the sales team, fostering a high-performance culture and guiding team members towards achieving their goals.
  • Financial Acumen: Understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to manage the sales department's financial performance and optimize profitability.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with CRM software, sales tools, and technology that streamline sales processes and enhance productivity.
  • Conflict Resolution: Skills in managing conflicts and resolving disputes between team members or with clients in a constructive manner.
  • Strategic Thinking: The ability to develop and implement long-term sales strategies aligned with the company's overall goals and market positioning.
