Duties
POSITION GOAL: Administer medically prescribed physical therapy treatments under supervision of a Registered Professional Physical Therapist.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Consult with the Registered Professional Physical Therapist (RPPT) on a daily or weekly basis regarding scheduling, goals, techniques, physicians' prescriptions, program changes, progress and problems concerning assigned students.
* Maintain records of student's treatments including long and short term goals.
* Interpret physician's prescriptions and administer physical therapy treatments.
* Maintain physical therapy equipment in working condition and advice of any maintenance needs.
* Understand and implement the department's policies and procedures.
* Perform such other duties and assume such other responsibilities as may be assigned by the Registered Professional Physical Therapist.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS-
* MUST HAVE ILLINOIS CERTIFIED PHYSICAL THERAPY ASSISTANT CERTIFICATION
* MUST PASS A PRE-EMPLOYMENT PHYSICAL, TB TEST, AND DRUG/ALCOHOL SCREENING
SALARY-
* BASED ON EXPERIENCE, PER THE COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT
