JOB SUMMARY : Charlestown WV Wrench and Ride Location. Job involves light mechanical work and lot and inventory management / detailing cars.

We are looking for a Lot Porter to join our growing team! In this role, you will mostly move and park cars on the lot.

You may be asked to transport cars to and from designated locations, and complete any other tasks necessary to ensure a clean and organized lot.

Other job duties include refilling tires and gas tanks, keeping batteries at full charge, and sometimes cleaning vehicles.

This offer is for a full time staff member and is easily one of the most crucial positions in the company.

Responsibilities

• Driving and handling all cars responsibly to ensure damage prevention, and protecting dealership property at all times
• Overseeing and maintaining the key room
• Ensuring the cleanliness of the interiors and exteriors of cars on the lot by taking them to our Detailer or through the Auto Spa Car Wash
• Ensuring the lot is organized, clean, and free from trash, litter, and debris
• Occasionally driving off-site to run dealership errands when required
• Guaranteeing dealership license plate frames are affixed to every vehicle
• Remain aware of empty spaces on the lot, and replace with most marketable vehicles first
• Sometimes directing the vendors who keep up the photos on our website, to particular vehicles that still need to be photographed
• Regularly checking in with the Sales Manager to see if any additional tasks need to be done

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations on your driving record in the past 3 years)
• Effective communication, organizational and time management skills, whether as a part of a team or independently
• Must be able to work outdoors and on your feet for extended periods of time
• Proficient with driving manual and automatic transmission vehicles
• Experience in the industry is a plus , but we’re willing to train an outstanding applicant
• While it’s not our regular practice, we do reserve the right to screen for illegal substances and alcohol consumption during work hours
