RENO STAFFING is Hiring a Production Associate for Plastic Manufacturer (Day Shift) $21/hr. Near Sparks, NV

Job Description

Reno Staffing is looking for a production associates for plastic manufacturer in the area of Sparks!

This position is for a fortune 500 global manufacturer and marketer of plastic packaging products.

Shift: Monday - Friday 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Pay: $21/hr. Temp-To-Hire
Location: Sparks, NV located near bus route
Summary:
As a member of this team, you will be responsible for operating thermoplastic extruders and associated production equipment to convert plastic resins into blown film for flexible plastic sheeting, tubing or bags, and efficiently producing a finished product on a timely basis that meets all customer product specifications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Other duties may be assigned.

Alert Setup Technician and Changeover Technician using the light system to keep them informed of production status
Keep the work area clean and clutter free: pick up scrap material around the production lines and cut scrap off cores.
Perform quality control checks on product and ensure all are properly labeled before stacking finished product.
Packages bags/rolls and keeps accurate counts in computer system
Helps the team give 10 and 20 minute breaks
Alerts Setup Techs to questions or concerns by utilizing white stack light
Assembles boxes
Performs quality control checks on product and labels
Stacks finished product
Help pick up scrap around his/her lines, including change-over rolls..
Throws away all labels from previous job
Keeps work area clean and clutter free; including tables, scales and floors
Weighs boxes and enters into the computer system
Pulls resin as needed
Weighs, packages and labels finished product
Might be used for training new person.

At the discretion of your lead or supervisor, you could be required to perform additional job related activities not specifically outlined above.

Competency:
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

High School Diploma or Equivalent
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
Manufacturing experience preferred.

A resume and onsite interview are required upon consideration.

A drug test will be required after interview if offered the position. Will not be tested for THC.
