Renotight Constuction is Hiring a Project Estimator Near Chandler, AZ

Qualifications: An Estimator will work to assist Renotight Construction in assessing the needs of particular projects and building out labor and material quotes on commercial and residential construction projects. The Estimator candidate should have at least one year of experience estimating costs in commercial and residential industry. It’s preferred that Estimators have a bachelor’s degree in mathematics, finance, accounting, statistics or another related field. Candidates with degrees and training in project management with relevant work experience may also be qualified for the role.

Proven written and verbal communication abilities; proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedule. Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.

Position Description: The estimator’s primary function will be to help the company determine what the company will need to see a project through to completion; they will achieve this by analyzing the costs of and preparing estimates on construction projects. They will work closely with contractors and team members to evaluate relative costs or potential risks and conclude whether the company can complete a project within the time frame and budget that the client wants. The estimator will be required to perform mathematical calculations and get quotes from vendors to estimate the costs needed for labor and materials. The estimator will also be responsible for evaluating project needs throughout the course of the project to adjust to environmental restraints or budget cuts.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

· Prepare estimates of probable costs of materials, labor and equipment, and subcontracts for construction projects based on contract bids, quotations, schematic drawings and specifications

· Advise on bidding selection, examine and analyze bidding, recommend bidding awards and conduct negotiations

· Establish and maintain bidding processes

· Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures

· Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors and subcontractors

· Liaise, consult and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors, and prepare economic feasibility studies on changes and adjustments to cost estimates

· Manage and co-ordinate construction projects, and prepare construction progress schedules

· Estimate pre-contract costs

· Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications

· Proficiency in mathematics, statistics and data analysis

· Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail

· Report writing and strategic planning skills

· Familiarity with analyzing requirement data to develop material and cost estimates for large projects

· Expertise with analytic tools, such as spreadsheets and database managers

· Ability to read and interpret technical documents

· Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills

· Exceptional time management skills

· Be able to travel from job site to job site (if needed).

May perform other duties as necessary or required.

Valid driver’s license required.

We are a drug free work place; candidates are required to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug testing.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 40 per week
