Position Purpose
Under the supervision of the Manager of Reno Breast Center, the incumbent produces diagnostic mammograms, assists the radiologist and referring physicians in mammographic procedures, and ensures patient care while representing the purpose of Renown Health.
Nature and Scope
The major challenges to this position include being able to understand and apply the technical skills required to operate mammographic equipment. The incumbent must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care based on physical, motor/sensory, psychosocial, and safety appropriate to adult and geriatric patients served, and meet standards of quality as measured by the unit/department age-specific competency standards.
The incumbent may be asked to perform other job duties related to Reno Breast Center as needed. This position has the authority to make technical decisions that will provide the best possible mammographic image quality. This position must be proficient in the use of the MAMMOGRAPHY UNIT. This position will require training and general knowledge attained to operate the hospital and department computer systems.
This position does provide patient care.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education : Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing and speaking English.
Experience: None.
License(s): (A.R.R.T.), R.T.(R)(M), State of Nevada Certification
Certification(s): CPR upon hire
