Period.The Director, National Accounts plays a pivotal role in leading a team of National Client Executives (NCEs) in the day-to-day operations of Rent’s national accounts team. This role is responsible to ensure Rent. is a trusted partner to our key clients and are accountable for maintaining high client satisfaction. This high-impact position requires a strategic mindset with exceptional aptitude for account planning and account strategies to achieve company goals. You will be the face of Rent. to our national clients, leveraging your extensive experience with enterprise or national accounts.
The Director, National Accounts assumes a vital role, engaging with enterprise clients and motivating their team to excel. Increase sales, grow revenue, eliminate churn - these are the keys to your team’s success. Some of the key responsibilities include:
  • Manage and lead a team of National Client Executives, creating a culture of success that fosters business growth, collaboration, and goal achievement. Continue to support a highly inclusive and outcome-driven culture ensuring team members thrive and organizational outcomes are met.
  • Establish and maintain strong professional relationships with client stakeholders in each of the key accounts, ensuring their needs are met and their expectations are exceeded. Maintain an intimate understanding of our client’s business models, challenges, and goals. Promotes the company's reputation as an industry leader.
  • Develop, improve and execute comprehensive account plans and strategies and practices that align with client objectives to ensure best-in-class relationship management, driving account penetration and revenue growth/margin across National Accounts. Establish both a short and long-term revenue growth strategy and ensure alignment between revenue growth and the organization’s broader strategic focus.
  • Cultivate strong, long-lasting relationships with key client contacts and stakeholders. Partner with members of the Leadership Team, as needed, to assist with elements of the account strategies. Demonstrate exceptional problem-solving and collaboration skills as needed.
  • Work cross-functionally and understand how to accomplish goals within the organization. Develop relationships across the organization to facilitate communication, collaboration, and achievement of goals.
  • Maintain and leverage quality data and analytics to generate actionable reports and forecasts to make informed decisions, optimize account performance, and track results.
  • Travel for in-person meetings with clients and partners to develop key relationships. Attending trade shows, industry and client events as necessary.

  • Proven track record in a similar leadership role, with a focus on national or enterprise accounts.
  • 10 years of strategic account planning experience
  • 7 years experience successfully managing high performing sales or account management teams with at least 5 team members
  • 5 years experience selling within enterprise or national accounts
  • 5 years experience selling digital marketing bundled solutions, encompassing various areas such as social media, paid search, analytics, AI, and CRM.
  • Demonstrated skill set in building and nurturing customer relationships to drive substantial growth within existing accounts
  • Has quarterbacked internal teams in the past
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Adept at developing and implementing effective account strategies.
  • High proficiency in managing client relationships and expectations.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and a diverse client base.
  • Willingness and ability to travel 50%
  • A Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Prior recent experience in the multi-family industry preferred
