Reports To: Director of Products and Engineering

FLSA Status: Exempt

Compensation Base Range: $85,000 - $105,000 Annually

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Product Manager will be responsible for the execution/success of the Product Pipeline. This includes both New Product and Product Improvements. They own the Product Development Lifecycle from Ideation to 60-days Post Launch.

They are product experts that can work cross functionally with Engineering to write product requirements, as well as the rest of the company to ensure successful timely launches.

  • All applicants will be required to submit a portfolio showcasing examples of their work for consideration.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Be an expert of REP's products, industry products, and voice for our customers.
  • Own all assigned products through the entire Product Development Lifecycle, including reporting and project management responsibilities in company software and structure.
  • Identify industry leading products and hold benchmark testing and review groups internally.
  • Construct user profiles and host sample reviews with selected external customer testing group.
  • Produce Market Requirements Documents including "the why" behind the product, competitor analysis, cost analysis, features and highlights, packaging configurations and costs, product listing configurations, and product/engineering requirements.
  • Own critical cross functional product meetings and Gate Reviews including Project Readiness, Concept/ALPA/BETA Design Reviews, Development Readiness, Pilot Readiness, Marketing Kickoff, 30-Day Success Reviews, and Change Control Order Meetings.
  • Establish initial pricing and order quantities.
  • Be the most knowledge person and the main point of contact and support for Product Launches.
  • Review product success by holding 30-day reviews analyzing sales (forecasted versus reality), margins, competitor response, and customer reaction.
  • Create and distribute customer surveys to review post purchase experience.
  • Reporting of NPI, Product Revenue, and departmental metrics.
  • Preparation of annual product budgeting impacts.
  • Own the Product Change Control Process by collaborating with Planning and Engineering Teams to establish crossover timelines, inventory, and Initial Order Quantities.
  • Schedule and perform product margin analysis on existing SKUs and drive action from the results. This includes optimizing margins by implementing pricing adjustments, packaging improvements, and product revamps/updates.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assigns, trains, schedules or oversees work of others.
  • Currently will oversee team of 1.


EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university. Masters preferred.
  • At least 3 years related Product experience in the fitness industry.
  • Product Management Certification is a plus.
