Position: Patient Care Coordinator

This is a Contract Position paying $27/hr.

Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service to patient/patient caregivers, professional partners and other clinic stakeholders
• Act as receptionist for the clinic to greet all customers, manage all calls, be responsive to inquiries within 24 hours, and ensure that the front office, lobby and kitchen spaces are routinely cleaned and organized
• Maintain clinic schedule: schedule and confirm all patient appointments, partner with Clinic Manager to ensure that provider schedules are updated and accurate, manage follow-up with all patients after missed or cancelled appointments, actively work to fill provider’s schedule
• Responsible for end-to-end process management of insurance benefits verifications and explanations
• Deep understanding of in/out network insurance for respective clinic locations, which includes understanding when referral, authorizations or orders are necessary for certain payers to ensure provider bill will be reimbursed.
• Communicate insurance benefits to patients as appropriate and in alignment with clinic protocols
• Create and/or maintain patient medical records including scanning documents into records, reviewing chart information for accuracy, and obtaining proper documentation prior to appointments
• Partner with CAM Accounting, Clinic Manager, and Third-Party Billing Company to manage patient payments and insurance payments
• Maintain month-end reporting duties
• Contribute to clinic continuous quality improvement tasks to optimize CHC operations and patient experience

Requirements:

• Bilingual
• 1-2 years prior customer service experience
• Positive in person and phone demeanour with proven ability to interact effectively with customers
• Technologically savvy
• Detail oriented
