ResMed is Hiring an Associate Inspector, Quality Control (Hourly) Near Moreno Valley, CA

Please note the hours for this shift are Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
The primary role of the Quality Control function is to design, implement and monitor quality control programs. Key deliverables include, but are not limited to, recommending changes to methods, procedures, and standards to improve quality of output based on analysis of data and systems. Ensures products are built correctly to specification, quality standards and appropriate regulatory compliance. Reports defects and tracks until resolution.

Will be responsible for performing day-to-day activities of the Quality Control functions, including inspection of incoming materials, manufacturing assemblies, kits and finished devices.
Let’s Talk About Responsibilities
  • Perform inspections on printed materials, components, assemblies, and other materials by internal and external entities, using specifications provided by ResMed. Inspection includes visual, mechanical (using measurement gauges such as calipers and micrometers), and electrical (using test meters, etc.)
  • Perform Product Release post inspection/documentation review
  • Complete appropriate paperwork related to inspection such as inspection records, non-conforming material forms, device history records, lot/traveler records, etc. All records must be filed in a timely and accurate manner
  • Apply approval or rejection labels to raw materials and finished goods.
  • Assist in management of non-conforming products and release of conforming finished goods.
  • Monitor QC test equipment and instruments to ensure proper operation and calibration
  • Conduct cycle counts associated with inventory of the QA/QC area
  • Assist in the control and maintenance of documents associated with Quality Control activities
  • Assist with special request inspection and rework projects as required
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned
Work Environment
  • This position works in an operations/warehouse environment.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls.
  • The employee frequently is required to walk, stand, and sit and reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch and smell.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • The employee is occasionally required to lift up to 25 pounds overhead.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to differentiate color and the ability to adjust focus.
Let’s Talk About Qualifications And ExperienceRequired (Qualifications/experiences that are an absolute must for the position)
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 1 year of Medical Device or other regulated industry related experience in an operations environment.
  • Equivalent combination of experience and/or education may be considered
  • Will work in a warehouse area, with a desk
  • Must be able to reach with hands and arms and talk and hear
  • Requires ability to stand for long periods of time; may also be required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Occasionally required to lift and/move up to 25 pounds
  • Individual must have correctable 20/20 vision
  • Specific vision abilities close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to focus
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask

  • Previous inspection experience
  • Experience working with drawings and blueprints to interpret inspection requirements

At ResMed, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this position is:
21.68 to 32.52 USD Hourly
