Converting Operations Manager

Resolute Tissue, a leading manufacturer of tissue products, producing both virgin and recycled grades is seeking a qualified and experienced Converting Operations Manager to join our team! This position is ideal for a career-minded individual with the ability to bring technical and leadership skills to the role making you a highly valuable member of the team.

Expectations

Provides leadership, operations direction, administrative management, ensuring continuous improvement in safety, housekeeping, human resources, environmental, quality, production, and cost.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • 3 years of Converting experience with Pulp & Paper or related degree or 10 years of progressive and practical supervisory experience.
  • Prefer Tissue Converting experience.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Familiar with Safety Programs and Quality Control Standards.
  • Basis Operator Care and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with leadership and strategic thinking skills.
  • Ability to develop long and short-term strategic improvement plans.
  • Can manage multiple priorities simultaneously and keep them progressing to completion.
  • Must be able to communicate in English.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Approach all aspects of the work with ‘safety as a value.
  • Wear required safety equipment.
  • Follow all safety procedures including lockout/tagout, confined spaces, etc.
  • Comfortable in a manufacturing/industrial environment
