Home Health and Hospice Director of Business Development

Section 1: Duties & Responsibilities

  • Direct all daily marketing operations, including implementation of marketing initiatives
  • Negotiate service contracts with managed care organizations, government agencies, and other payers to ensure maximum reimbursement
  • Assist in establishing volume projections and budget allocations for the marketing department
  • Conduct market assessments and develop comprehensive marketing plans
  • Implement marketing and promotional initiatives to achieve volume projections
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with referral and payer sources
  • Recruit, select, orient, and manage the marketing team
  • Monitor community, customer, payer, and patient perceptions of Emblem Home Health
  • Provide leadership in strategic planning and identify opportunities for service improvement
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the healthcare market and competitors
  • Monitor and report cost effectiveness of marketing efforts

Section 2: Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • Minimum of three years of healthcare management experience
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise and direct personnel
  • Strong marketing and customer relations skills
  • Knowledge of corporate business management
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and public relations skills
  • Autonomy, organization, assertiveness, flexibility, and cooperation
  • Experience in home health and hospice
