Summary Statement:

The Lead, Casino Accounting is responsible for assisting daily, monthly, quarterly and annual accounting for gaming revenue departments throughout the property. Prepares monthly journals and reconciliations. The ideal candidate adapts quickly and effectively to procedural changes and is ready to assist with other special projects. All responsibilities are to be performed in accordance with all laws and regulations, as well as Resorts World Las Vegas policies, practices and procedures.

Primary Job Duties: Includes but is not limited to:

• Assists willingly to all Casino Accounting representatives with daily audits of the cage, slots, table games, race& sports and other gaming departments; provides positive feedback, communicates any issues or discrepancies to management in a timely and efficient manner.
• Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual MICS to ensure our company follows Nevada Gaming Control Board compliance in all areas of responsibility, cooperates to resolve issues with management.
• Verifies the daily, monthly, quarterly and annual retention of accurate records and files pertaining to work performed by Casino Accounting Representatives and by self.
• Completes daily assignments following a checklist/email provided by Management.
• Participates in team meetings, team building activities and other office activities to contribute positive morale all the time.
• Generates journal entries for Month End Balancing (from the 1^st to 5^th of each month), by reviewing and preparing the balancing of accounts and system reporting.
• Contributes with investigation and compilation for SOPs, training manuals, instructions of processes regarding Casino Accounting Department.
• Covers any daily audit when necessary.
• Creates IT tickets for team assistance or software issues, communicating Management in timely manner.
• Supports Casino Accounting Representatives, Supervisor, Manager, Senior Accountant and Controller always.
• Train new team members or new processes as need it, to all members of the Department.
• Use personal device/cellular phone for job related operational tasks, job duties, review of company documents, etc.
• Perform other job-related duties as requested.

Preferred:

• Working knowledge of Management Information Control Systems (MICS) and Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB) gaming regulations.
• Previous experience working in a large, luxury resort setting.
• At least six months of Gaming Accounting experience in a similar or related field.

Minimum Education and Experience:

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Applications.
