Job Description
The Surveillance Technician II is responsible for the maintenance, repair, installation, and troubleshooting of all VMS systems/equipment including but not limited to: IP cameras, monitors, alarms, CCTV switches, digital encoders, servers, raids, network switches, DVRs, wiring, and Security Access Controls. The Surveillance Technician II reports to the Technical Surveillance Manager with whom an open accurate and reliable line of communication is to be maintained.

Candidate must be certified in network administration (Networking Degree or CCNA/CCNP certifications) and have at least five years of experience in a networking environment. Must be able to design and maintain LANs, WANS, VLANs, QOS, DNS, DHCP, firewalls core switching and routing. Previous experience in Surveillance and Security Access Control hardware/software configurations preferred.
Candidate should have excellent vision and the ability to distinguish colors, shapes, and size differences. Candidate should be able to stand and perform observer duties when needed to maintain the minimum staff requirements per NYSGC Regulations.
Must have ability to communicate in English both orally and written.
