Job Summary
Seeking an adept and experienced Automotive Technician responsible for the precise diagnosis and repair of customer vehicles. Duties encompass adhering to established MAP guidelines while ensuring compliance with dealership, manufacturer, and Automotive standards.
Responsibilities
· Leverage certifications and experience to conduct comprehensive vehicle diagnoses.
· Execute assigned tasks on Multi-point Inspections and/or Repair Orders with proficiency and accuracy.
· Translate complex technical diagnoses and necessary repairs into layman's terms for Store Managers, Service Consultants, and customers.
· Recommend and document essential services to maintain optimal vehicle functionality within customer files.
· Prioritize safety by adhering to all protocols and reporting any concerns to designated supervisors.
· Maintain up-to-date ASE certifications and actively pursue renewals.
Skills
· Advanced automotive diagnostics using a systematic approach.
· Proficient in repair procedures outlined in Multi-point Inspections and Repair Orders.
· Strong understanding of automotive systems, including electrical, mechanical, and computer-controlled components.
· Ability to utilize diagnostic tools and equipment effectively.
· Exceptional communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
· Customer service focus with the ability to build trust and rapport.
· Meticulous attention to detail for accurate diagnoses and repairs.
· Commitment to safety protocols and procedures.
Qualifications
· High school diploma or demonstrably equivalent qualification.
· Minimum experience of 5-7 years.
· Experience as a Mechanic (with 5 years of true diagnostic experience)
· Valid driver's license, minimum two years of professional automotive repair experience, and demonstrable experience diagnosing vehicle repairs.
· One or more unexpired ASE certifications or equivalent experience/training.
