A great opportunity to kick start a career in Manufacturing as a material handler Come work for the largest manufacturing placement service in the area and country. This job has the opportunity to go full time after 60 days with a large, well established manufacturer in Eastern NC.
The right candidate has an opportunity to start on the ground floor and move up the ladder.
1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts available and will work overtime when needed. Be flexible
Must be committed to good attendance and safe work habits.
Material Handler position will need to have the following responsibilities:
- Able to drive sit down forklift to ensure the shipping operations are completed in a safe and efficient manner
- Perform a variety of computer operations (SAP is a plus)
- The forklift operator receives orders from prepared and prioritized work tags
- Utilizes RF scan guns to pick orders
- Moves material in the warehouse and stages finished products
- Responsible for counting, weighing and recording the number of units of materials moved or handled on a daily transaction sheet and/or computer system
- Performs timely and accurate inventory transactions in the inventory tracking system
- Attaches identifying tags or labels to material or marks information on cases or containers.
- Load and unload trucks
