Full time store manager position in a Full Line Music Store:

Requirements:

• 1-2 years of leadership experience in a retail setting
• Retail sales experience
• Play a musical instrument
• In depth knowledge of Print (Sheet) music
• Knowledge about band and orchestra instruments, pianos, combo product and accessories
• Good computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to motivate and manage employees
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong customer service acumen
• Ability to innovate, expand store traffic and optimize profitability
• Knowledge of financial statements a plus

Responsibilities

As a Store Manager (Full time), you will be responsible for developing business strategies, meeting sales goals, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction as you run day-to-day store operations including but not limited to:

• Expand store traffic and optimize profitability
• Meet sales goals by training, motivating, and mentoring employees
• Promote excellent customer service by example and precept
• Perform various computer transactions and other processes following proper procedures
• Take a proactive role in maintaining store appearance, product display, and fulfilling necessary responsibilities such as monitoring time clocks, scheduling employees, evaluations, etc.
• Be aware of buying trends, customer needs, profit.
• Purchase music and accessories for the store and give input on larger ticket items
• Deal with issues that arise from staff or customers
• Conduct store meetings and personal performance assessments
