- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Graduate of an accredited program in the discipline
In This Role, You Will
- Prepare the surgical operating suite with necessary drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment, and supplies, ensuring all equipment and instruments are in good working order.
- Assist in the preparation, transportation, positioning, and draping of patients for surgery.
- Pass instruments to physicians during surgery and continuously account for the number and location of instruments and supplies.
- Receive and process specimens for delivery to the laboratory.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and organize surgical instruments and equipment.
- Ensure the operating suite is adequately prepared and all instruments are sterilized.
- Aid in patient positioning and draping before surgery.
- Track instruments and supplies throughout the surgical procedure.
- Handle and process specimens accurately for laboratory analysis.
