**Leader of Retail Technology**

At Specialized, we believe the rider is the boss. The Leader of Retail Technology will build and lead a best-in-class Retail Technology organization and team that will partner across the entire Specialized ecosystem and owned Retail. They will be responsible for creating the strategy, roadmap and capabilities necessary to achieve our brand and commercial objectives. This is a highly strategic role, however, also requires the willingness to execute and operate within a start-up environment.

This role requires someone with empathy, strong communication skills, exceptional leadership skills and appropriate technical background to be able to balance leadership of a Retail function with being a core stakeholder among senior leadership in long term decision making. This leader should have an excellent engineering foundation and be well-rounded in architecting, building, and maintaining world class retail solutions, with an emphasis on usability, extensibility, and sustainability. Your job is to consistently evaluate, define and teach how we must develop and leverage the capabilities and culture needed to drive retail technologies, not limited to (Point of Sale, Integrations into key enterprise platforms and scalable retail management solutions). Youll be responsible for understanding the needs of our riders and of our worldwide teams to be able to create alignment and prioritization around a roadmap.

* Works with leaders to analyze and understand the needs of the company, defines, and prioritizes business goals, and creates retail technology solutions that provide answers to those questions

* Be customer obsessed and create the best-in-class customer and retail associate experience through the power of modern technology

* Partners with senior business and technology leaders to define a retail technology strategy for Specialized

* Partner with Retail Operations, People & Culture, and Technology teams to accomplish outlined programs and initiatives

* Responsible for implementing scalable retail platforms globally, with the understanding of local regional requirements

* Provide guidance on emerging technology trends and future technology direction to technology peers and business stakeholders

* Ability to translate business problems or objectives into project statements, timelines, and resource plans

* Lead organizational design and evolution to match the growth of our capability and talent & develop talent and promote career growth within the Retail Technology team

* Attracts, retains, and develops the brightest analytical talent

* Accountable for ensuring timelines, budgets and deadlines are met

* Key leader of the senior leadership team

**WHAT YOU NEED TO WIN:**

* 10 years of experience in retail technologies, engineering management, and delivering large scale enterprise solutions within retail

* Proven ability to deliver results in a fast paced cross-functional environment

* Strong skills in project planning, budget estimation and management, resource planning and assessment, financial planning, and risk assessment

* Deep experience in implementing and supporting multiple Point of Sale and Retail Management Solutions on a global scale

* Deep understanding how retail systems are connecting with broader enterprise applications and solutions including integrations

* Strong experience with Agile

* Strong expectation management, influencing and conflict resolution skills

* Strong ability to collaborate across various groups, build relationships and manage effectively in a matrix organization

* Proven track record in building, coaching and leading retail technology or software architecture and engineering teams, including recruiting and organizational design.

* Excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills up to the senior executive level and out to wide, diverse audiences

* Ability to work cooperatively at all levels in a matrix environment

* Ability to facilitate technology strategy, requirements, architecture and resource/roadmap planning conversations across various levels of the organization

* Experience within consumer product a plus.
