Essential Duties and Responsibilities

As the Accounts Payable Specialist at Retina Group of Florida, you will work closely with the Accounting team to support our company's growth. You will also provide support to other departments in the organization. This is an exciting opportunity to develop skills and experience with a rapidly growing physician practice. 

Accounts Payable

• Manage new vendor set up, communication, requests, and documents

• Enter vendor invoices into accounting software and properly classify to correct accounts

• Perform daily accounts payable activities including accounts payable reconciliations

• Prepares check batches for payment and process ACH payments

• Ensure invoices get processed in a timely manner

• Assist with off-cycle AP/check requests and maintain appropriate internal controls over this process

• Performs ad hoc A/P research and analysis as requested.

• Execute internal controls over disbursements 

• Assist in year-end 1099 filings

Minimum Qualifications

• 2 years of prior experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role 

• Strong attention to detail and highly organized

• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. 

• Experience with NetSuite is preferred, but not necessarily.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Excellent communication and written skills

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees
