Retirement Unlimited is Hiring an Accounts Payable Specialist Near Roanoke, VA
Retirement Unlimited Incorporated, a premiere provider of Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist for it's home office. This position will support our communities in Virginia and Florida with responsibility for all aspects of the accounts payable function, as well as completing cash receipts and cash reporting. This position reports into the Assistant Controller.
Requirements :
- Minimum of one-year work experience in an office environment preferably in Accounts Payable.
- Working knowledge of software applications to include Word and Excel and preferably Great Plains (Tribridge).
- The ability to communicate effectively, both written and oral.
- The ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
- The ability to independently apply existing policies and procedures to resolve issues as they arise.
- The ability to independently prepare for and meet critical weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual deadlines both internal and from regulatory agencies.
ACCOUNTS PAYABLE
- Assign vendor numbers to invoices and review for proper coding and signatures.
- Key invoices weekly and check edit
- Review invoices processed through digital workflow for accuracy including coding, invoice information and amounts
- Run various purchase and cash disbursement journals and distribute.
- Produce checks and match against invoice. Prepare for mailing.
- Gather and key vendor information needed to process 1099’s
- Communicate with communities/vendors to obtain information needed to process vendor invoices and follow-up on inquiries
- Review vendor statements to catch up in outstanding accounts
- Maintain fixed asset files (including CER’s)OTHER
- Assist with monthly and quarterly sales and use tax returns.
- Record daily cash receipts
- Complete weekly cash balance reports
- Other required filing and reports as needed.
- Other duties as assigned by Management.
