RETTEW, a top 500 engineering firm, is currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Bridge Engineer to join our Transportation Team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing senior technical oversight for multiple bridge projects, managing budgets and schedules, supervising and mentoring junior team members, and cultivating relationships with new and existing clients.

We are in search of a highly skilled bridge engineer who specializes in the dynamic design and development of composite steel and prestressed concrete bridges, as well as retaining walls and box culverts. Having experience with 3D modeling or finite element analysis software would be a significant advantage.

Responsibilities:

- Provide senior technical oversight for multiple bridge design projects

- Manage project budgets and schedules to ensure timely completion and cost-effectiveness

- Supervise and mentor junior team members, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment

- Cultivate relationships with new and existing clients to maintain and expand our client base

- Collaborate with other departments and teams within the company to ensure seamless project execution

- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in bridge engineering

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field

- Professional Engineer (PE) license required

- Minimum of 10 years of experience in bridge design and engineering

- Strong knowledge of bridge design software and tools; Microstation, Power InRoads, or OpenRoads is necessary.

- Demonstrated proficiency and technical knowledge in bridge engineering.

- Familiarity with PennDOT standards and design manuals is required.

- Familiarity with ODOT or WVDOH standards and ODOT prequalification is a bonus.

- Strong problem-solving skills; able to quickly identify solutions to technical issues.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

- Strong leadership and mentoring abilities
