Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. Duties:
- Provide direct patient care, including triage, medication administration, and specimen collection and processing.
- Monitor and manage patient vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and oxygen saturation.
- Perform catheter care, IV insertion, and other invasive procedures as needed.
- Assist with hospice care and provide emotional support to patients and their families.
- Collaborate with medical staff in the ICU and OR to ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Utilize electronic medical records, such as eClinicalWorks, to document patient information.
- Develop and implement patient care plans, including identifying and addressing patient needs.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff to ensure patient care is delivered in a safe and timely manner.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes and reduce costs.
Qualifications:
- Current LPN license in the state of practice.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of an approved LPN program.
- Strong pediatric experience preferred.
- Ability to ventilate patients as needed.
- Familiarity with hospice care and ICU procedures.
- Experience with OR procedures and catheter care.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care and a positive patient experience.
