ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Avoya Travel is hiring a full-time Content Assistant.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Content Assistant to join our team in the travel industry. The Content Assistant is responsible for supporting various content projects and corresponding creative assignments on behalf of Avoya Travel to help generate sales and/or enhance page views, impressions, engagement, etc. This includes creating, maintaining, monitoring, and optimizing performance of digital content (editorial, creative, website, social media, etc.) that spans across multiple departments and marketing verticals to help drive the success of various channels.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

  • Creating consumer and/or trade content that aligns with Avoya’s brand voice, personality, and style, while aiming to attract and convert qualified leads, nurture existing customers, and engage with prospects.
  • Developing rich SEO content that follows established content strategies including the use of keywords and phrases.
  • Editorializing content provided by Avoya’s partners to best align with Avoya’s brand identity and SEO best practices.
  • Various copywriting responsibilities in support of campaigns, corporate initiatives, and/or other departments as business needs dictate or as assigned by management.
  • Loading and maintaining a high volume of digital content within a Content Management System (CMS)
  • Image and video library researching, sizing, and loading within a Content Management System (CMS)
  • Conducting independent research in development of content as needed, which may include auditing existing pages and/or third-party websites.
  • Reviewing and approving third-party product reviews or other User Generated Content (UGC) based on established guidelines and sound judgment.
  • Contributing to Avoya’s social media presence by writing creative copies, working with the Creative Services team for images, and staying up to date on best practices and trends for all platforms
  • Supporting Avoya’s blog by researching topics and writing content for articles
  • Various data entry and tasks
  • Working closely with internal departments (Creative Services, Promotions, Marketing, Strategic Partnerships)
  • Assist with other tasks and/or special projects as required.

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES

  • Exceptional level of detail orientation while also displaying strong time-management skills in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with little assistance
  • Excellence in writing, punctuation, and grammar
  • Strong creative writing skills, as well as written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to follow brand guidelines and/or established style guides.
  • Computer systems skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Generative AI preferred.
  • Experience with CMS preferred.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with other employees and managers to ensure teamwork, as well as contribute and receive constructive feedback in creative and writing.
  • Ability to handle situations in a calm, professional manner and exhibit good judgment.
  • Employees who work from home (part-time, full-time, or on occasion) must be able to meet performance standards and department requirements in a productive and professional environment.
  • This includes the ability to work with little or no distraction(s), consistent internet connectivity, regular and ongoing communication with supervisors(s), reliable childcare and/or eldercare (if applicable), and depending on the role, the ability to discuss and protect all confidential information (company or people related).
  • Presents a professional and tidy appearance (virtually or in person) while conducting educational sessions, calls, and/or meetings (when cameras are on).

EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATION

  • 6 months to one (1) year of working experience in a similar role.
  • Completion of a four-year (4) college degree in English, Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a similar field with related work experience desired.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Travel will be up to 5% (International / National Travel)
  • This is primarily a stationary position with prolonged periods of sitting and working from a computer (ability to type, read, review, write, etc.) for a full workday.
  • Professional appearance when attending events or facilitating sessions virtually or in-person.
  • May need to occasionally travel to home office or other locations for events as needed.
  • Ability to speak English clearly, in a friendly manner, and at an appropriate tone and volume over the company’s provided phone system, Microsoft Teams, or in person.
  • Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 15 lbs.
