Job Summary:

The Sr. Commercial Compliance Manager assists the Legal Department in developing, implementing and maintaining an effective Corporate Compliance Program that: supports and promotes Revance employees conducting its business with the highest degrees of integrity, professionalism and social responsibility; ensures the Company's compliance with Revance's Comprehensive Compliance Program, all applicable laws and regulations; and meets or exceeds the standards set forth in the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and 2003 OIG Compliance Program Guidance for Pharmaceutical Manufacturers. As a member of a collaborative team, this position will contribute to the development, implementation and management of all components of Revance's Comprehensive Compliance Program.

The Sr. Manager oversees all ongoing activities related to the development, implementation, maintenance of, and adherence to, the organization's policies and procedures covering the privacy of, and access to, organizational and consumer information in compliance with federal and state laws, and the health care organization's information privacy practices. The Sr. Manager initiates, facilitates and promotes activities to foster information privacy awareness within the organization and related entities and serves as information privacy consultant to the organization for all departments and appropriate entities.

Opportunity to assist in the identification, implementation, and maintenance of company information privacy policies and procedures in coordination with company management and the Privacy Officer.

Location: Remote

Salary Range: $117,800 - $162,030

Responsibilities/Essential Duties:

  • Written Standards: Develops, revises, updates and maintains compliance and privacy policies, procedures and other written standards; collaborates with other departments within the company in addressing their policies, procedures and other written standards relating to or impacting the Company's healthcare compliance and privacy programs.
  • Training & Communication: Develops, implements, tracks and measures employee training on all compliance and privacy policies, applicable laws, regulations and industry developments impacting the Company's health care compliance and privacy obligations; develops and implements the compliance component of new employee orientation collaborating with relevant other departments of the company to do so; develops and delivers compliance training at company and departmental meetings; develops, maintains and publicizes the Compliance department's compliance portal.
  • Auditing & Monitoring: Assists with Compliance auditing and monitoring activities related to promotional and non-promotional activities.
  • Risk Assessment: Assists with annual evaluation and identification of risks associated with business activities and establish mitigation plans based on identified risks.
  • Corporate Governance: Supports maintenance of business qualifications in various jurisdictions; tracks and coordinates compliance obligations of local and foreign subsidiaries; assists with quarterly and annual bringdown diligence process; maintains corporate governance and compliance policies.
  • Business Partnership: Collaborates with key stakeholders (e.g., Sales, Marketing, Medical Affairs) to address questions and issues, and implement compliance and privacy work plans.
  • Business Acumen: Possesses and maintains up-to-date knowledge and understanding of federal and state laws and regulations, industry codes of conduct and developments, and best practices applicable to the company's policies, practices or operations.
  • Other duties may be assigned.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Master's degree
  • 5-8 years' experience in the pharmaceutical/medical device industry


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Paralegal certification or JD
  • 3 years' experience in a pharmaceutical/medical device manufacturing healthcare compliance and privacy programs
  • Demonstrated strong ethic and integrity
  • Ability to work independently without routine supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment with knowledge of the pharmaceutical/medical device industry
  • Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative ability
  • Strong analytical skills and demonstrated ability to successfully perform multiple projects in a timely and effective manner
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Excellent planning, project management and research skills
  • Ability to analyze data, develop and maintain databases, and generate formal written reports
  • Ability to communicate, orally and in writing, effectively and persuasively
  • Track record for successfully working cross-functionally on a wide range of compliance and privacy activities
  • Experience in creating and implementing training programs including strong speaking skills
  • Ability to identify problems, explore options and recommend solutions through strong critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Effective at managing, synthesizing and communicating complex information
  • Demonstrated experience in handling confidential and sensitive situations or information with ability to exercise a high degree of judgment and discretion while maintaining strict confidentiality as required
  • Ability to travel, approximately 15% of working time
  • Proficient in Microsoft products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
