Our Columbus, Ohio client has a contract opportunity for a Senior Objective-C Developer.

• Location: Hybrid - 3 days per week on-site.

Job Description:

• We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Objective-C Developer with extensive experience in developing iPad applications.
• As a pivotal member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining high-performance, scalable iPad applications using Objective-C.
• The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering quality software solutions and possess deep knowledge of iOS development frameworks.

Responsibilities:

• Work with stakeholders to design and develop advanced applications for the iPad using Objective-C.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Proven experience as a Senior Objective-C Developer with a focus on iPad applications.
• Experience with dependency management using Cocoa Pods as well as the automation tool Fastlane.
• Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.
• Experience with iOS frameworks such as Core Data, Core Animation, etc.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to backend services.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Grails framework for backend development.
• Familiarity with AWS services for deployment, scalability, and storage.
• Knowledge of Oracle RDBMS for data storage and management.
• Experience with SQL databases.
• Experience with Swift and/or hybrid Objective-C/Swift projects.
• Familiarity with continuous integration.
• Published one or more applications in the App Store.
• Knowledge of other web technologies and UI/UX standards.
