We are seeking a certified Athletic Trainer to join our Sports Medicine team. This role focuses on ensuring the health and safety of student-athletes by providing injury prevention, evaluation, rehabilitation, and emergency care under the supervision of a physician. The Athletic Trainer will deliver outreach services to junior high and high school athletic programs at contracted schools.
- Provide injury prevention, assessment, immediate care, rehabilitation, and return-to-play guidance for athletes.
- Monitor athletic events for safety hazards and recommend corrective actions to athletic directors and coaches.
- Collaborate with coaches on training and conditioning programs.
- Deliver timely care for sports-related injuries and illnesses, communicating effectively with school officials, parents, and medical staff.
- Maintain thorough documentation in the athlete’s Electronic Medical Record (Presagia EMR), including injury details and treatment plans.
- Develop individualized rehabilitation plans and provide on-site programs or refer athletes to outpatient therapy as needed.
- Participate in continuing education and adhere to all federal, state, and organizational policies.
- Education & Certification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a CAATE-accredited program. Current BOC certification, licensure in the state of practice (NY and PA preferred), and BLS certification required.
- Experience: Preferred experience working with adolescent athletic populations.
