Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role as a Workforce Development Coordinator at Revolution Institute. We are seeking a strategic leader to drive our vocational technical training program at Revolution Institute. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with RI’s Design Team and strategic partners to align resources and ensure the success and growth of our initiatives. Your leadership will be instrumental in advancing our mission to create equitable opportunities and economic empowerment through workforce development. The role is based in Chicago, IL, with flexibility for some remote work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the impact and scalability of our vocational training programs.
  • Partnership and Resource Management: Cultivate and maintain relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders to coordinate resources effectively and ensure program sustainability.
  • Data and Systems Management: Design and implement robust systems for data capture, analysis, and utilization to inform decision-making and improve program outcomes.
  • Mentorship and Support: Serve as a mentor and case manager for program participants, providing guidance and resources to support their professional development and personal growth.
  • Ethical Leadership: Uphold RI’s commitment to shared responsibility, cultural relevance, and ethical practices in all aspects of program management and mentorship.
  • Labor Market Placement: Assist with placing trainees in the labor market.

Qualifications

  • Three to five years experience in workforce development.
  • Proven leadership or management experience, ideally within vocational training, education, or related fields.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to develop and manage efficient systems and processes.
  • Proficiency in utilizing technology for data management, program enhancement, and conducting research.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a track record of building effective collaborations and partnerships.
  • Passion for mentoring and supporting others, rooted in a commitment to equity, social justice, and community empowerment.
  • Knowledge and experience in workforce development initiatives, training, and strategic planning.
  • Background in social services with a focus on supporting marginalized communities.
  • Ability to analyze data to inform program development and decision-making.
  • Commitment to promoting social and economic equity through community engagement and collaboration.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as social work, sociology, or public administration (preferred).
