Attributes Of An Ideal Candidate / What You’ll Do In This Role
- 5 years experience, ideally in a role that required a full-stack capability and mentality (e.g. early eng hire at series seed/A/B startup).
- Lead/own product end-to-end, hands-on coding. Proficiency in Node.js, React Native, and AWS. Bonus: ML. Well-versed in microservices architecture, modular development.
- Compelled to make an impact, with strong product sense, customer centric mindset. Detail-oriented builder delivering high-performing, scalable solutions to user's problems.
- Excellent work from home communication skills. Self-starter and self-motivator.
- Excited to work in a startup with daily stand-ups and quick product validation cycles.
- Prefer learning quickly, embracing fail-fast to refine code and systems.
- Extreme owner, embracing the great responsibility that comes with freedom/autonomy.
- Self-driven nature: may often be the sole member of a project, therefore must drive. Execute product roadmap iteratively with product leadership and other stakeholders.
- Architect, design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable, and secure web applications using modern web technologies.
- Continuously evaluate/improve architecture, performance, and scalability of systems.
- Build/maintain technical documentation/diagrams for codebase, APIs, and infrastructure.
- Compensation commensurate with skill set with a bias toward equity to ensure shareholder alignment, hunger, and “skin in the game.”
- Realize life’s short; determined to make biggest impact.
- Work from home, living locally in Austin (within 30 miles of downtown) for community purposes. Open to remote on an exception basis.
