Your Role :
The Environmental Health & Safety Specialist will perform as an effective facilitator to influence development of a proactive approach to environmental, health, & safety issues.
The principal challenges include assuring that sound environmental, health, & safety management systems are in place; anticipating, recognizing, evaluating, and controlling hazards;
providing input into problem-solving and implementation relative to those hazards; and monitoring and continually improving the performance of EHS Management Systems.

You will have the opportunity to :
- Provide support in the development and implementation of EHS policies, procedures, and programs.
- Manage the EHS database (Gensuite) for entering incidents, training, audits, etc.
- Lead the EHS on boarding process for new hires.
- Update safety tracking information such as training, plant communications, etc.
- Maintain updated OSHA and EPA required written programs and develop / conduct training as necessary under the direction of the EHS Manager.
- Assist / Lead in injury, accident, and fire investigation reporting.
- File Worker's Compensation claims and maintain records.
- Update plant safety and environmental metrics.
- Assist in implementing and managing the plants BBS Program.
- Assist in the management of safety incentive programs.
- Coordinate industrial hygiene sampling, audiometric testing, first Aid, CPR, and AED training.
- Maintain OSHA and EPA required records.
- Develop a weekly EHS communication.
- Maintain / update the plant's safety data sheet database and ensure compliance with the hazard communication standard / GHS.
- Lead the plant safety committee.
- Develop and update PPE assessments for plant processes.
- Share on-call duties for night and weekend incidents.
- Conduct safety and environmental related audits.
- Lead and support the risk assessment process.
- Perform other tasks as directed by the EHS Manager.
- Serves as a backup to the EHS Manager when not available.
Ultimately, you will develop and deploy policies, procedures, programs to support best-practices and identify best-practices with the Reynolds's system to help the Environmental Health and Safety Manager guide the employees.

We need you to have :
- 5 years of related professional health and safety experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills and the ability to communicate and influence at all levels within the organization.
- Self-directed with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple accountabilities and multiple internal customers.
- Strong analytical skills as well as organizational skills.
- Solid project management capabilities with the ability to organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously from origin through execution.
- Well-developed leadership and motivational skills with proven ability to influence and motivate others to quickly achieve results.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule during key business deadlines.
Icing on the cake :
- Master's Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Engineering. or technical discipline or related field.
- Environmental experience.
