$4,000 hiring bonus!
The first sign-on bonus will be issued January 2023 in the amount of
$2000. In order to qualify for the January 2023 sign-on bonus, employee
must have been employed by the District and reported for duty by Monday, January 2,
2023.
The second sign-on bonus will be issued June 2023 in the amount of
$2000. In order to qualify for the June 2023 sign-on bonus, employee must
have been employed by the District and reported for duty by Thursday, June 1, 2023.
Job Title: In-School Suspension Monitor
Classification: IIA
Job Summary: The job of "In-School Suspension Monitor" is done for the purpose/s of maintaining a safe and orderly campus and environment; providing adequate supervision for students, and providing needed academic assistance as appropriate.
Essential Job Functions:
• Develops positive relationships with the student body for the purpose of facilitating orderly student behavior.
• Establishes positive working relationships with the staff for the purpose of supporting staff educational goals.
• Supervises ISS room for the purpose of appropriately controlling student movement, behavior and study efforts.
• Communicates observations and concerns to building administration and classroom teachers for the purpose of supporting staff educational goals .
• Maintains a daily awareness of the students who are on a behavior related contract or the purpose of promoting and providing an environment which is conducive to learning.
• Attends authorized training sessions for the purpose of being current in rules and laws which may impact duties.
Other Job Functions:
• Assists other personnel as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities.
Qualifications:
• Experience Required: Prior job related experience with increasing levels of responsibilities, preferably in school and/or institutional setting.
• Skills, Knowledge and/or Abilities Required:
Skills to appropriately intervene in emergency or potentially critical situations, diffuse potentially volatile situations, use English in both written and verbal form, communicate effectively with persons of varied educational and cultural backgrounds, document accurately.
Knowledge of Student Conduct Code for students.
Abilities to stand or walk for prolonged periods, understand and carry out oral and written instructions, maintain firm but courteous attitude toward individuals, maintain written records adjust to flexible assignments often with short notice. Significant physical abilities include talking/hearing conversations, near/far visual acuity/depth perception/visual accommodation/field of vision.
Education Required: High School diploma or equivalent.
Licenses, Certifications, Bonding, and/or Testing Required: Oregon Fingerprint and Criminal Check clearance.
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday on school days, 8 hours/day
