Job Summary:
The Operations Manager is pivotal in shaping the strategic direction and leadership of RGIS operations within their designated region. This position is responsible for the performance and growth of multiple teams, across multiple states. The Operations Manager implements strategies to ensure the efficient and profitable operation of the region. Additionally, this role is responsible for creating a workplace environment where RGIS Core Values are demonstrated, and delivering superior service to customers, all while adhering to company policies, procedures, and standards.
Strategy and Leadership:
· Develop and implement a strategic plan for the successful operations of the region, aligned with the company's goals and objectives. Drive growth, profitability, and market expansion.
· Lead the region’s leadership team, providing mentoring, coaching and direction to managers as they lead their respective teams.
· Set clear performance expectations, offer guidance, and monitor performance.
· Train, develop and retain management and staff within the region. Maintains a professional work environment conducive to attracting and retaining top talent.
· Lead by example, creating a productive and professional environment, where all employees properly represent the company at all times (e.g. hotels, customer locations, company vehicles, etc.).
Operations Management:
· Monitor and analyze KPI’s. Implement operational strategies to meet or exceed goals. Report region metrics and other key data to senior leadership, along with continuous improvement strategies.
· Ensure the region operates efficiently and in compliance with company policies and procedures.
· Implement strategies to grow the region, increase profitability, and ensure customer satisfaction.
· Proactively plan for and ensure all people and resources are in place for region operations.
· Collaborate with internal partners to hire and train new employees.
· Attends inventory events, builds relationships with customers, provide guidance and direction to team, and ensure accuracy of inventory count.
· Provides excellent customer service to ensure a positive customer experience.
· Address customer inquiries and concerns, and resolve issues as needed.
· Identify and address operational issues or challenges within the region.
· Implement solutions to improve overall performance.
Growth and Financial Management:
· Manage the region’s budget, monitor expenses, and optimize resource allocation.
· Identify cost-saving opportunities and strategies to maximize revenue.
· Develop and execute strategies to promote regional growth and profitability.
Sales/Client Relationships:
· Foster strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring exceptional service delivery. Maintain client relationships and retention.
· Continuously grow the business, acquiring new customers and business opportunities with existing customers.
Compliance and Safety:
· Ensure compliance with laws and regulations, including labor laws and safety regulations.
· Promote a culture of safety within the region locations.
Communication:
· Maintain effective communication with customers, employees, senior management, and other internal partners.
· Report on the region's performance, challenges, and opportunities, and plan for continuous improvement.
Key Performance Indicators:
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in business, retail management, or a related field (preferred), equivalent experience considered.
· 3-5 years proven success in field management or similar leadership role.
· 1-2 years inventory experience.
· Strong leadership and management skills with proven success building high performing teams.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Financial acumen and budget management experience.
· Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
· Strategic thinker with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Physical Requirements:
· Frequent walking, standing, kneeling, stooping, reaching, stretching and the use of ladders.
· Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
· Must have the ability to work long shifts on a regular basis.
· Ability to work in various customers’ locations with various work conditions.
· This position requires frequent travel via automobile and air.
