Position: Freight Broker/Sales Agent
Compensation: Salary Commission-Based

Key Responsibilities:

• Business Development: Identify, qualify, and generate new business by adding and retaining clients to achieve set revenue and gross profit goals.
• Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong customer and carrier relationships.
• Documentation: Complete all necessary paperwork for new customer and carrier setups.
• Shipment Coordination: Ensure timely pick-up and delivery of shipments, managing all associated paperwork including quotes, rate confirmations, BOLs, PODs, etc.
• Problem Solving: Provide effective solutions for any issues that arise during the shipping process.
• Rate Negotiation: Negotiate rates with both carriers and customers to ensure competitive pricing.
• Customer Service: Manage day-to-day shipping needs of customers and track and trace shipments to ensure successful delivery.

Qualifications:

• Experience: At least 1-2 years of freight broker/sales agent experience.
• Education: High School Diploma or GED (Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Transportation and Logistics, Sales and Marketing preferred but not required).
• Skills: Strong multitasking abilities, excellent communication skills, and proficient in Microsoft Office and web-based software.
• Attributes: Self-motivated, assertive, able to work independently and within a team, and possess effective negotiation skills. Bilingual abilities are a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
