What you will work on
- Oversee and improve internal controls to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
- Assist in audit and tax preparation, ensuring accurate and timely submissions.
- Manage month-end close procedures, including reconciliations and financial reporting.
- Develop and implement better-designed processes and systems to streamline operations.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure financial accuracy and accountability.
- Provide strategic insights and recommendations for financial improvements.
- Proven experience as a Controller or similar role in finance.
- Strong knowledge of internal controls, audit, and tax processes.
- Proficiency in managing month-end close procedures.
- Background in working with Government agency funding programs (nice to have).
- Experience using Yardi software (nice to have).
- Ability to work on-site in Brooklyn, NY, 2-3 days a week.
- Variety of workplace arrangements including hybrid, remote, onsite.
- Compensation commensurate with employee qualifications, experience, and other factors including geographic location, market, and operational factors.
- Pay Range: $65-$75/hr.
