Maine Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner (NP) - Occupational Medicine (Bath, ME)

Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking the best Nurse Practitioners (NPs) in Maine to lend their clinical skills as the onsite medical provider for an employee health clinic in gorgeous Bath, ME beginning in July.

This is an immediately available locum tenens opportunity with minimal credentialing requirements treating100% adult patients in a low-volume, low-acuity clinical setting. Flexile 4 days/week with NO weekend coverage or call! (See scheduling options below) It's a dream position for any locum tenens provider!

Opportunity Specifics:

  • Contract Type: Locum Tenens
  • Setting: Outpatient Employee Health Clinic
  • Start Date: July - quick credentialing process
  • Schedule: 4 Days per Week (6:30am - 5:00pm)
    • Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
    • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday
  • Volume: 8-10 Adult Patients/Day (Low Acuity/Volume)
  • EMR: No EMR (Paper Charting)

Responsibilities:

  • Comprehensive Patient Care:
    • Deliver primary care and Occupational Medicine services to adult patients.
  • Diagnosis and Treatment:
    • Deliver onsite medical services including first aid and injury management
  • Compliance Management:
    • Review new hire paperwork/surveillance testing and physical examinations as needed
  • Evaluations:
    • Perform DOT examinations and participate in OSHA-required surveillance programs
    • Evaluate fitness for duty
  • Collaborative Team Environment
    • Work closely with physicians, nurses and support staff to provide pentient-centered care

Candidate Requirements:

  • Active Maine State License & Unrestricted DEA
  • Certified Nurse Practitioner
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) DOT Certification (or ability to obtain)
  • Clinical Background in Occupational Medicine, Urgent Care, Emergency or Family Medicine strongly preferred
