Operations Manager - C Tek Lean Solutions

Primary Areas of Responsibility:

• Maintain and grow in a leadership role to help the company meet or exceed all overall company growth initiative and expectations.

• Set a positive team atmosphere, demonstrate strong leadership skills and communicate professionally and positively with customers, coworkers and employees.

• Create and implement policies to allow the company to operate in a proactive manner. A key component to this position is to ensure the company is producing and delivering the highest quality products while reducing costs. By preventing errors before products ship, this increases customer confidence by reducing product quality issues.

• Oversee and maintained accurate inventory levels through cycle counting, physical inventory, and insuring BOM’s and inventory are done correctly and material is pulled according to BOM’s. Process any changes on BOM’s at the time of changes.

• Oversee parts distribution and ensure that all orders are pulled correctly and shipped according to the customers timetables. Verify that all material pulled is accurate and sign off before shipment is packed.

• Help spearhead new initiatives driven by Rhino Tool House and C Tek Leak Solutions and implement current policy by facilitating roll outs.

• Maintain a zero accident workplace and participate in monthly safety meetings as well as inspecting daily use of PPE.

• Attend and contribute to morning production meetings. Review current and projected build schedule to better understand inventory and special order parts necessary to fully assemble product pipeline. Ensure we meet or exceed all customer delivery timelines, while delivering high-quality error-free products.

• Review all approved customer drawings to look for possible design flaws from a production standpoint. Address and correct issues with designer before drawing goes to final quote. Verify all drawings are complete with measurements and all proper callouts to prevent wasted time during assembly.

• Once drawings are approved, supply purchasing with a list of all specialty items that need to be purchased in order to complete the order, while ensuring customer delivery timeline. Track progress of specialty items and communicate to manage and production any issue that may prevent the build for on-time delivery.

• Inspect and validate quality control is inspecting every rack against drawings before shipment. Prevent any questionable structures from shipping until corrections are completed.

• Review any needed rack correction made in production with designer to ensure all in field correction are made to the drawing to prevent reorder mistakes.

• Review BOM against actual production and work with customer service to correct any necessary BOM changes to ensure correct pricing and prevent pricing reorder errors.

• Review all purchase orders upon receipt to ensure stocking inventory level is sufficient to cover build to ensure on time delivery.

• Travel as needed to work with customers on value-added products, manufacturing or shipping issues, and drive solutions to any failures.

• Identify and implement continuous improvement and lean projects within the process to increase efficiency and safety.

• Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area. Comply with and enforce all company rules, safety regulations, policies and procedures.

• Respond quickly and positively with resolution to customer issues.

• Run and program 3-axis CNC Router for plastic production. Requires learning CAD software (Alphacam) to operate. Training to be done internally.

Position Physical Demands and Work Environment for Position:

Job requires frequent lifting up to 70 pounds, stooping, reaching above shoulder level, pushing, pulling, constantly walking/standing on cement flooring. Working conditions involve a fast-paced warehouse and assembly environments containing moving equipment, fluctuating temperature and inventory in various storage arrangements.
