The Refugee & Immigrant Assistance Center (RIAC) is a community-based, non-profit organization located in Worcester, MA. RIAC is committed to promoting educational and socio-economic development in Massachusetts refugee and immigrant communities. We provide comprehensive support to refugees, asylees, immigrants, and the larger community through refugee resettlement, asylee case management, counseling, outreach and education, and other social services.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Case Manager at RIAC. The Case Manager will be responsible for providing comprehensive support to refugees, asylees, and immigrants. Daily tasks include conducting needs assessments, developing individualized case plans, connecting clients to resources and services, providing counseling and emotional support, and maintaining accurate case records.
Qualifications
- Experience in case management, social work, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of refugee and immigrant issues, policies, and resources
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds
- Experience in conducting needs assessments and developing case plans
- Knowledge of community resources and social services
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in a second language is a plus
- Bilingual, Spanish and English
- Bachelor's degree in social work or a related field
