San Antonio Winery is looking to hire seasonal Full Time and Part Time positions for our outdoor dining experience at 1917 Wine Bar & Bistro. We are seeking applicants with Chef, Sous Chef, Line Cook or Prep Cook experience. Successful candidates will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction for our Bistro. Experience in Grill, Pizzas, Salads, and Antipasti are a plus. This is a perfect summer position for hospitality/culinary students, or if you are seeking part time employment.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies.
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.
• Clean up the station and take care of leftover food.
• Stock inventory appropriately.
• Ensures consistency of recipes and taste standards while maintaining established flavor profiles and correct protein temperatures.
• Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion.
• Comply with nutrition, sanitation regulations and safety standards.
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
• Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
• Communicate any quality issues or general issues to Head Chef/Owners as needed.
• Able to work in a high volume and fast paced environment.

Qualifications:

• Proven cooking experience, minimum of 3 years
• Proven prep/cooking experience is preferred, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook, sous chef, prep cook.
• Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
• Accuracy and speed in assigned tasks.
• High degree of reliability and availability
• This location is open Thursday-Sunday and requires weekend availability.
• Bilingual in English is preferred but will consider Spanish Speaking only candidates.
