Rice Companies is Hiring an Office Administrator (Part-Time) Near Fargo, ND

Salary: $22-$24 per hour

Rice Companies is looking for a part-time Office Administrator to join the team at our Fargo, ND location. The Office Administrator supports team collaboration and the smooth operation of daily activities within the office. This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service and support to Rice Companies employees, clients, and partners via phone, in-person, and electronic communications. The Office Administrator also provides administrative support to the location manager, local office team members, and central (corporate) support teams as appropriate.

Position Schedule:

  • 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Thursday. 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Greet individuals coming into offices courteously and professionally, make individual(s) feel comfortable, and alert appropriate staff of their arrival. Provide refreshments, if deemed appropriate.
  • Present and maintain a professional appearance and demeanor throughout daily interactions with owners, customers, subcontractors, and all Rice Companies personnel.
  • Oversee conference room calendars and provide support for office meetings. Support could include assistance with scheduling rooms, coordinating attendee calendars, meals, or other miscellaneous support.
  • Open, route, and distribute incoming mail or other deliveries.
  • Answer a multi-line telephone system and route calls to appropriate staff members. Serve as a backup to other locations as needed.
  • Manage office housekeeping and supplies according to procurement/operating procedures.
  • Collaborates with human resources and other central support or cross-functional teams to drive employee engagement, recognition, and wellness programs or activities.
  • Provides location-based support for employee onboarding or training. Including communication of company policies, programs, or initiatives.
  • Assists with planning and executing location-based special events or celebrations
  • Provide administrative support to the location manager and other Rice Companies’ personnel as appropriate.
  • May assist with data collection, audits, reporting, or other various clerical tasks or projects as assigned.

  • Proven phone and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Experience with Procore or similar CSM software preferred.
  • 2 years of relevant experience.
