Description
JOB SUMMARY
This position will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the pool area, ensuring the basic safety of guests, and providing excellent customer service. This role requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Greet patrons upon arrival and provide information about pool facilities and services.
  • Assist in creating accounts for guests in our "Rectrac" system and ensure all policies are read and acknowledged.
  • Maintain accurate records of guest information and agreements.
  • Assist in enforcing pool rules and regulations to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all guests.
  • Assist guests with inquiries, such as pool hours, poolside amenities, and rental opportunities.
  • Create rentals of pool facilities ensuring accuracy of customer information and details of the rental in "Rectrac".
  • Handle cash transactions for pool admission fees and rental equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of pool usage, incidents, and maintenance activities.
  • Monitor pool area to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are maintained.
  • Regularly inspect pool equipment and report any issues to the Aquatics Manager.
  • Arrange pool furniture and equipment in an orderly manner.
  • Performs other duties as necessary.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • Currently attending High School, or completion of a High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Must be at least 15 years of age
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and administrative tasks.
  • Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering and inventory control.
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of operating a large, multi-pool aquatic facility.
  • Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures.
  • Knowledge of rules and regulations pertaining to the swimming pool facility.
  • Skill to collect data and maintain routine records.
  • Ability to enforce established policies, rules, and regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal direction.
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to respond to requests and inquiries from the general public and employees.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
CERTIFICATION, LICENSE, AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The work is light work and requires exerting up to 40 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force to move objects; involves sitting or standing for long periods as required, may require walking for periodic intervals throughout the day. The work requires extended periods of computer use. Reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting up to 40 pounds, bend, and crouch, reach, hold, grasp and turn objects. The work requires the ability to speak normally, to use normal or aided vision and hearing. Worker may be required to demonstrate an athletic activity or physical exercise.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions. Work may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
