Job Relationships Supervised by: Director of Disability Services
Supervises: None
Hours of Work: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with schedule varying as program requirements dictate.
Position Summary: The Success Coach works one-on-one with program clients, guardians and referring agencies to provide exceptional program services. The Success Coach delivers and interprets assessments, works jointly with clients to develop an Individual Assessment Plan, Financial Plan, assists each client with goal setting and enrollment in training pathways, The Success Coach will also provide wrap-around supports to each client as they progress through the program.
Job Duties & Responsibilities: The Success Coach manages an assigned caseload and deliver services to achieve individual client goals and assure compliance with program requirements.
  • Conduct enrollment orientation for new clients.
  • Provide work adjustment training, vocational training, and day habilitation to clients with disabilities based on desired outcomes of each client.
  • Administer skill assessments to each client to develop goals based on desired outcomes.
  • Develop Individual Adjustment Plan (IAP) and conduct client staffing with referring agency to present results of assessment and IAP.
  • Prepare client progress reports, incident reports, and discharge summaries.
  • Conduct counseling sessions with consumers on a regular, impromptu and intervention basis.
  • Develop and teach personal and social adjustment classes on a daily basis.
  • Conduct progress staffings with referring agencies on a periodic basis to review client progress on goals as well as overall progress of client.
  • Provide case management to each client to ensure progress in program, proper benefits usage, and compliance with company policies.
  • Maintain records in accordance with all appropriate federal, state, and local laws, rules, regulations, and policies and complete required documentation of compliance.
  • Substitute for Work Adjustment Trainers at satellite locations on an as-needed basis.
  • Occasionally substitute for store returns production coordinator. Must be able to push and pull textile z-racks.
  • Assist consumers riding Paratransit as needed.
  • Any other tasks as required by the Director of Disability Services.
Community Relations
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with other departments and referring agencies to ensure success of the program and organization as a whole.
  • Represent WAT Program at appropriate meetings and community events as requested.
Professional Development
  • Maintain a personal commitment to development of professional skills needed to stay abreast of the latest techniques, issues and trends in the employment and disability field.
  • Complete required training identified by organization including, but not limited to First Aid, Crisis Prevention, and Safety Training.
Education & Experience:
  • B.S. or B.A. in social services, education, or related field. Equivalent years of related experience may be substituted for degree requirement at the discretion of Goodwill Dallas.
  • Minimum of two years of social work, or workforce development or related experience. A varied work history is a plus.
  • Knowledge of employment placement techniques, the local job market, and employer’s expectations for people with disabilities.
  • Excellent computer and communication skills with ability to lead presentations as/if required.
  • Flexibility to adapt to tasks as required by clients and/or leadership.
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of the Mission Services Team and under the direct guidance of the Director of Disability Services.
  • Complete required courses and obtain required certifications (UNTWISE Job Skills, Job Placement, First Aid, CPR) and obtain other employment related credentials as necessary.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
  • Be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
  • Be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time.
