Description

Serves event leaders and guest groups with exceptional customer service by providing intentional meeting room set up and quality audio/visual support.

Responsibilities

• Set-up, breakdown, and cleaning of event meeting areas including tables, chairs, audio/visual equipment, and other furnishings
• Perform shipping and receiving functions related to events such as loading, unloading, delivering or moving conference materials
• Assist as needed with specialized duties of the A/V and Conference Services Unit such as: operating AV equipment during events, audio recording, equipment inventory control
• Aid Program/Event Leaders during conferences and events concerning set-up details, changes, special events, moving supplies, etc.

• Ability to operate audio/visual equipment unsupervised and with excellence in all circumstances.
• Must be patient, polite, and friendly with program leaders, guests, and employees in all departments
• Able to make good decisions
• Able to function effectively as part of a team as well as to produce high quality work on an individual basis

Education, Work Experience and Other Qualifications

• High School Diploma required
• Must possess a valid driver’s license

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and up to 100 pounds at times
• Work on a computer for an extended period of time
• Operate heavy equipment/machinery
• Work at heights up to 100 feet on catwalk platforms and in lighting coves
• Good body mobility with good range of motion from floor level to overhead
• Work will include significant amounts of bending, stretching, kneeling, twisting, climbing, and lifting on a daily basis
• Frequent weekend and evening work
• Able to work in a variety of work areas
