Production Coordinator

Ridgeview Industries is a leading metal stamping and assembly supplier primarily serving the automotive market. Our privately held company, founded upon Christian principles, currently employs approximately 600 team members across 4 plant locations.
We are seeking an experienced Production Coordinator to work on-site at our Huntsville, AL. location with a customer service attitude and a positive personality. The ideal candidate for this role will have the following credentials.
Primary Responsibilities:
Support of Operational Planning Activity:
· Monitor inputs to QAD and elevate anomalies (EDI entries, manual data, forecast).
· Support weekly schedule development as it relates to the Huntsville Plant.
· Support production/inventory related inquiries from Production Planning, Accounting, Sales, etc… as well as the annual physical inventory process.
· Support the update and maintenance of customer orders and ship to locations as needed.
· Monitor customer and supplier returns (parts, racks, containers etc.)
· Work with Plant Manager and Production Planning Manager to achieve schedule attainment and on time shipment of parts.
· Track missed or late shipments and coordinate expedites as needed.
· Communicate to our customer and work closely with Production Planning Manager and Plant Manager on contingency plan for schedule interruptions (material shortages, die issues, equipment downtime).
· Support activity necessary for daily planning of Honda and Nissan run plan.
Support of Launch/Engineering Activity:
· Monitor bank builds for engineering changes.
· Assist in the management of production trial runs.
· Manage early part order shipments (pulling product from engineering hold, ensure correct labeling and on-time shipment).
· Support new launch ramp up activity (ensure inventory is available when needed).
Other:
· Identify and propose activities to drive intentional, incremental and sustainable improvements.
· Positive communication and follow through to create an environment of mutual respect, healthy conflict, constructive interaction and team accountability.
· Cultivate positive employee relationships through proactive communication, timely response to employee concerns and follow through on requested information.
· Identify cost saves via process, productivity, scheduling principles, and other improvements.
Qualifications:
· Previous automotive experience is preferred or equivalate experience in production planning.
· Familiar with ERP planning, QAD preferred.
· Willing to take direction and work independently when needed.
· Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
· Passion and discipline to follow well defined procedures.
· Data driven approach to problem solving and decision making.
· Excellent communicator who can understand and deliver information in a clear, open, honest and accurate method.
· Dedicated to teamwork and putting the value of team success before individual interest.
