Description

As a Parts and Service Sales Rep – this person is responsible for maximizing the sale of parts and service capabilities by calling on customers in an assigned territory. You must demonstrate initiative, commitment to teamwork, enthusiasm for customer service, and dedication to finding solutions in an efficient manner.

As an Inside Sales Representative – this person will be responsible for successfully providing excellent customer service and building effective relationships with current and prospective customers across the dealership.

This position will cover North Little Rock territory. Counties include- Faulkner and White counties.

Inside Sales Responsibilities:

· Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads for product support based on information from cold calls, internal call lists, Internet Web sites, and other internal and external sources.

· Uses a call plan to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders or talks with customers by phone, text message, or email.

o Call plan consists of a minimum of 60 activities per day when not in the field.

· Maintain accurate customer account information

· Maintain a call list

· Generate maximum profitability with customer lists

· Maintain knowledge of all product lines and understand marketing programs to ensure effective representation

· Establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, in person, over the phone, and in writing to exceed customer expectations and needs

· Enters new customer data and other sales data for current customers into computer database.

· Assist in implementing department marketing programs designed to increase customer awareness of existing equipment, service needs, and provide information concerning the availability of products

· Build and maintain effective relationships within the Riggs organization and with client base

· Continued education/training on product support offerings

· Responsible for long-term satisfaction of retail and small core customers

· Assist in lead generation and qualification of those leads

· Manage Caterpillar e-commerce customer support channels

· Maximize profitability with Warranty and CVA sales and renewals

· Maintain Caterpillar reporting systems with the most up to date information available for sales leads

Product Support Sales Responsibilities:

· Promotes and sells Caterpillar equipment parts and company service capabilities; inspects customer equipment; develops/delivers proposals and estimates; develops and sells maintenance contracts

· Prepare territory coverage call plan, manage sales opportunities and sales activity reports through the CRM system

· Receives customer orders, serves as the customer contact point, and occasionally assists in the education of customer base on parts and service programs/initiatives

· Collaborates with other departments to provide exceptional customer service

· Work diligently to achieve desired results as defined on Sales Scorecard, focus on safety, financials, operations, and customer service

· Requires regular and punctual employee attendance

· Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

Inside Sales Requirements:

· Ability to gather and analyze information skillfully, and sometimes develop alternative solutions;

· Ability to work in group problem solving situations

· Ability to manage difficult or emotional customer situations and responds promptly to customer needs.

· Ability to speak or communicate clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations.

· Demonstrated group presentation skills and willingness to participate in meetings.

· Ability to set and achieve ambitious goals, demonstrate persistence and overcomes obstacles, and self-measure against standard of excellence.

· Respect and sensitivity for cultural differences; Promotes a harassment-free environment.

· 1-5 Caterpillar or Competitor Sales Experience preferred

· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

· Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

· Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Valid driver license and clean driving record.

· Intermediate Excel knowledge

· Intermediate experience using CRM tools such as saleslink, salesforce, or other customer relationship management software

Product Support Sales Requirements:

· Must be a Self-starter able to work with limited supervision; capable of setting priorities, and implementing ideas in a timely manner.

· Excellent customer satisfaction skills and the ability to build strong internal and external relationships.

· Able to service existing customers with scheduled visits and effectively prospect potential new customers.

· Must be innovative and creative; able to quickly evaluate facts and maintain good judgment when making decisions.

· Strong PC skills and adapt to changing technology.

· Must be a good listener with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Willing to travel and work hours required by the job; a clean driving record and valid driver's license are required.

PSSR - Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

· Excellent selling, negotiating, and closing skills with the ability to build long term business relationships

· Proficient with MS Office Applications

· Excellent customer service skills

· Strong mechanical aptitude & familiarity of the construction industry

· Exceptional attention to detail

· Excellent interpersonal skills in order to establish working relationships with multiple departments and various levels of the organization

· Excellent oral and written communication skill to include formal presentation skills before small and large groups

· Ability to perform mathematical computations such as percentages, fractions, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division quickly and accurately

· Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced, high volume environment with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness

Required travel is up to 50% per week. This is an inside and outside sales position which may require some overnight stays depending on territory needs (average 1-5/mo).
