The Order Selector is responsible for accurately and efficiently selecting, packaging, and preparing products for shipment according to customer orders. This role involves working in a warehouse or distribution center environment, often requiring the operation of forklifts or pallet jacks.
Key Responsibilities:
Read customer orders and select products from shelves or storage areas.
Ensure the correct quantity and type of products are picked.
Verify product quality and report any discrepancies or damaged items.
Pack selected products securely and appropriately for shipment.
Label packages with correct shipping information.
Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure accuracy.
Assist in inventory organization and restocking as needed.
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment.
Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Maintain accurate records of orders picked, packed, and shipped.
Report any issues or inconsistencies to supervisors.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center is preferred.
Basic math and reading skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Warehouse or distribution center environment.
