Tenants Transforming Greater St.Louis is hiring Support Staff to assist on the Home Is Where Our Health Is (HIWOHI) campaign. HIWOHI developed a comprehensive understanding of the code enforcement process for occupied properties to prevent displacement among renters and low-income homeowners and bring buildings into compliance reducing negative health outcomes. From this research, administrative and policy recommendations were put forth and those recommendations have to be seen through by Tenants Transforming Greater St.Louis and the 60 member coalition. ResponsibilitiesThe Support Staffer will be responsible for: This Position Will Support The HIWOHI Lead And The HFASTL Organizing Team And Will Or Could Consist Of The Following Tasks & Responsibilities:
Maintaining communications with coalition member
Tabling and presenting at public events
Attending and testifying at hearings
Community Outreach Engagement
Mapping Renters/Homeowners
Phone Banking
Qualifications
Their own car/transportation (PREFERRED, but, not required)
Works well w/a team
Can work both weekdays and weekends
Computer proficiency
Excellent written and oral communication skills
CompensationPart-time position with a flexible work schedule. Commitment of at least 25 hours a month with a flat pay rate of $25-$50/hr. Position has the opportunity to evolve into a full-time, salaried role as the Policy Organizer by December 2024|Januray 2025
