Job DescriptionJob Title: Medical Receptionist
Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 10:30 am - 7:00 pm; Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
Location: Hartford, CT
Pay: $23/hr
Job Summary:We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Clinical Office Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for independently managing various administrative tasks within a clinical setting, including scheduling appointments, checking patients in and out, and handling incoming calls. EPIC experience is required for this role.
Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for patients and incoming telephone calls, providing excellent customer service and assisting with inquiries or concerns.
  • Utilize EPIC system to schedule appointments, update patient records, and facilitate communication between healthcare providers and patients.
  • Perform triage duties by assessing patient needs and directing them to the appropriate healthcare professional or department.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.
  • Assist with various administrative duties as needed, including filing paperwork, ordering supplies, and maintaining office equipment.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience scheduling medical appointments in a clinical setting.
  • Proficiency in EPIC software is required.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical office management principles.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in operating office equipment and familiarity with electronic medical records systems.
