Rio Grande Urology is currently looking for a Medical Assistant to join our fast paced clinical team!
Summary of duties:
Performs various administrative and clinical duties such as assisting providers with patient care, documenting in the EMR, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and handling clerical, environmental, and organizational tasks. This is an intermediate level position which requires the employee to work closely with the healthcare team to deliver safe and efficient care. Reports directly to the office manager.
Duties:
Education:
High School Graduate or GED. Medical Assistant Diploma from an accredited vocational institution or community college. Certification preferred.
Experience:
This is an intermediate level position. Two years of experience preferred and/or documented evidence of externship completed in a medical office with excellent history.
