Our 20,000 sq ft showroom elegantly captures the true essence of the Southwest with our collection of Rustic, Hacienda and Old World furniture, exclusively only to Rios Interiors, Inc.

At Rios Interiors, Inc., our Interior Designer/Sales Associates provide clients with comprehensive design expertise and service using the full range of custom and one of a kind uniquely designed furniture. The successful Interior Designer/ Sales Associate will be a self-motivated entrepreneur who is tech savvy, has an eye for color, design and home furnishings, as well as the ability to sell, design and build rapport with clients to keep them coming back. The designs include space planning, fabric coordination, product selection and overall project design. Successful execution is evidenced by developing individualized designs and achieving sales goals in a commission-based selling environment representing Rios Interiors, Inc. home furnishing products and services.

A good designer/salesperson will also be personable and helpful to clients, even those who are not purchasing furniture. After all, clients making returns or browsing may return to the store later on to buy something if they are impressed with the sales staff's manner. Therefore, aiding customers with previous purchases, carefully helping them browse the store's selection and explaining the pros and cons of different furniture items are also important duties of an Interior Designer/Furniture Sales Associate.

Job Responsibilities Sales Associate:

- Greeting guests upon arriving in our retail showroom and learning their motivation for their visit; really getting to know them and developing long-term relationships.

- Present and discuss various home furnishings product options based upon your discovery of the prospective clients' lifestyle, needs, and goals.

- Marketing new sales and special events

- Assisting customers in purchasing, delivery, and ultimate satisfaction

- Increasing personal knowledge of products, sales techniques, and promotions through continuous professional training and development.

- Obtaining first-hand knowledge of store inventory, pricing, and overall history of wood; design name, finishing, and all traits of products to ensure a successful sale.

- Keeping track of all sales invoices in a confidential manner. Including hard copies of all sales.

- Follow up with customers and complete special orders.

- Following up with shipping assistance to ensure delivery of merchandise.

- Compliance with all Sales and Commission policies.

Maintain floor appearance and inventory control:

- Responsible for the appearance and display set up and ensuring that the showroom is in an immaculate showroom-ready order at all times.

- Oversee that miscellaneous and random inventory/accessories are well organized and properly displayed at all times. Free of clutter and disorganization from customer view.

- Oversee that inventory is properly showcased and priced on the floor in a timely manner.

- Make sure that all sales members are kept up to date on price changes and knowledgeable of all inventory and history.

- Maximize your merchandising efforts by seeing that units are attractive and attention-getting. Use effective displays, and select appropriate options and accessories.

- Make sure you are doing everything they should be doing to successfully sell and establish a positive and inviting rapport with our customers.

- Ensure that the sales floor operations function smoothly.

Job Responsibilites For Interior Designer:

- Planner: Estimate material requirements and costs and present the design to the client for approval. Confer with the client to determine factors affecting planning interior environments, such as budget, architectural preferences, and purpose and function. Advise client on interior design factors, such as space planning, layout, utilization of furnishings and equipment, and color coordination. Select or design and purchase furnishings, artworks, and accessories. Formulate an environmental plan to be practical, esthetic, and conducive to intended purposes, such as raising productivity or selling merchandise.

- Artistic Ability and Style: You will need to provide sketches of your proposed designs for a space. You will choose colors, furniture, and materials to compliment the design, as well as suit your client's needs for function, durability, and accessibility.

- Teamwork Ability: As an interior designer, you'll communicate with clients to assess what they want and need in a space and then present your ideas for meeting those goals in a compelling way.

- Organizational Skills: Since interior designers complete a wide range of tasks and work with many different people, organizational skills are important. You are responsible for keeping the project on budget and on schedule. You will need to document your process and the products used and manage contracts and negotiations on your client's behalf.

Requirements:

- Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions, policies regarding payment and exchanges, and security practices.

- Compute sales prices and total purchases and receive and process cash or credit payments.

- Maintain records related to sales

- Watch for and recognize security risks and thefts, and know how to prevent or handle these situations.
