About the role

The Construction Scheduler is responsible for developing, managing, and updating project schedules to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

The scheduler works closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to coordinate timelines and resources, identifying potential delays and facilitating timely solutions.

This position is located in our Corsicana office.

Essential Functions

• Create detailed schedules for construction projects, outlining phases, milestones, and deadlines using scheduling software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar tools.
• Track the progress of construction projects against the planned schedules. Regularly update schedules to reflect actual construction progress and adjust timelines as necessary.
• Work with engineers and construction managers to allocate resources efficiently, ensuring that manpower, materials, and equipment are available as needed.
• Conduct risk analysis on schedules, identify potential delays and bottlenecks, and develop contingency plans to mitigate risks
• Generate regular reports on schedule status, progress, and any deviations from the plan. Provide these updates to project stakeholders and team members
• Coordinate with various departments, including engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure schedule adherence.
• Ensure that all scheduling activities comply with organizational standards and contractual obligations.
• Act as a communication bridge between contract management , engineering and operational teams, ensuring all parties are aware of schedule expectations and updates.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Understanding of construction phases, methodologies, and best practices.
• Proficiency in software tools like Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or other project management software.
• Ability to analyze project details and synthesize complex information into actionable plans.
• Skill in identifying potential issues in schedules and finding effective solutions to prevent project delays.
• Aptitude for using advanced scheduling tools and technology to create, maintain, and adjust schedules.
• Ability to meticulously track progress and changes to ensure accuracy in schedules.
• Capacity to manage multiple schedules and priorities effectively under tight deadlines.
• Capability to work cooperatively with different teams, including construction managers, engineers, and contractors.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience as a construction scheduler or in a similar role.
• Proficient in scheduling software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6).
